I have worked in the offshore drilling industry for 11 years, the last 8 of these has been directly involved with subsea well control equipment used for drilling.

I currently contract worldwide as a Subsea Engineer to various clients working on the blowout preventer equipment on drilling rigs.

I have been designing specialist tools & equipment for use onboard drilling rigs with the main purpose being to increase efficiency during maintenance periods on the Subsea well control equipment, which in hand will reduce costs for both drilling contractor & operator.

Initially mechanical engineering biased, Phil moved into electro-mechanical & hydraulic systems for subsea well control equipment and has worked for several major drilling contractors in various locations worldwide.

Phil continues to contract worldwide as a Subsea Engineer providing his in depth knowledge and hands on experience to companies to ensure their well control equipment is maintained, certified and tested prior to commencing drilling operations.
